Chapter 4

The tension in the brightly lit dining hall reached a breaking point. The vivid colors of the room—the rich mahogany, the sparkling crystal, the luxurious fabrics of the guests' formal wear—seemed to sharpen into razor-thin focus. Alessandro stood towering over his aunt, the heavy metal dog bowl resting in his powerful, tattooed hands.
Bianca’s fair, rosy skin instantly drained of all color, leaving her looking like a pale ghost under the cinematic lighting. She finally recognized the dark, lethal promise burning in her nephew's eyes. It was the same look he gave rival syndicate leaders right before he ordered their permanent erasure from the map.
"Alessandro, please, it was just a joke," Bianca stammered, her American accent trembling as she pressed her back hard against the ornate dining chair. "I didn't mean any real harm. She is just a child."
"A joke," Alessandro repeated, his voice a low, gravelly hum that offered zero forgiveness.
Without a fraction of a second's hesitation, Alessandro engaged the massive, athletic strength of his core. He pulled his arms back and forcefully hurled the heavy metal dog bowl directly into Bianca’s upper body.
The impact was brutal and spectacular.
The heavy metal slammed violently against her chest with a sickening, hollow thud. The cold, congealed dog food and murky water splashed explosively upward, completely ruining her luxurious formal gown and coating her expensive pearl jewelry in a disgusting layer of brown sludge.
Bianca let out a breathless, agonizing shriek as the sheer kinetic force of the throw hit her.
She staggered backward, completely losing her balance. Her sharp heels caught on the edge of the rug. She flew backward, crashing violently into an empty, heavy mahogany dining chair positioned behind her. The chair splintered and cracked under the sudden, heavy impact of her body, and she collapsed into a ruined, whimpering heap on the floor, tangled in her ruined silk and pearls.
The metal dog bowl hit the ground and began to spin.
The loud, metallic whirring sound of the heavy bowl spinning rapidly across the polished marble floor echoed relentlessly through the vast room. It spun and spun, the harsh noise amplifying the absolute, suffocating silence of the horrified onlookers.
No dialogue was spoken.

The white American capos, the seasoned family members, and the heavily armed bodyguards stared in sheer, paralyzed shock. The veteran Mafia boss had just physically assaulted the senior matriarch of the family with terrifying, unapologetic brutality.
Alessandro stood perfectly still. He did not adjust his tailored shirt or rub his hands. His breathing was slow, even, and entirely controlled. His angular face remained a mask of pure, unyielding stone. He watched the metal bowl finally slow down, wobbling on its axis before coming to a dead, rattling stop near the baseboards. The physical retaliation was over, but the psychological dismantling of the room was just beginning.
