“Dad, you scare people into silence too.”

She did.
Staff hid mistakes.
Capos softened bad news.
Family members waited until crises because they feared my reaction.
I thought calm intensity created order.
Sometimes it created editing.
David exploited that.
Margaret feared what I would do.
Sarah feared blood if she told me.
That mattered.
I started asking:
“What happened?”
Before:
“Who did it?”
