The major twist arrived through discovery, not confession.
Bianca’s own legal team produced the messages because the court ordered relevant communications concerning the wedding-day incident preserved and disclosed.
The thread between Bianca and Dominic began seven weeks before the ceremony.
At first, the messages looked ordinary.
Complaints about Alessandro.
Wedding stress.
Livia interrupting dinners.
Bianca resenting how often Alessandro changed plans for his daughter.
Dominic encouraged the resentment.
He will never make room for you unless you force him to choose.
Two weeks later:
Don’t argue privately. He’ll smooth it over. Make him show everyone where you stand.
Then, eleven days before the wedding:
I gave you the number for the attorney. Use her if he reacts the way I expect.
Alessandro stopped reading.
Claire waited.
He continued.
Dominic had not ordered Bianca to cut Livia’s hair.
That mattered.
Bianca chose that herself.
Her contempt for the child was real.
But Dominic had spent weeks encouraging her to create a public confrontation involving Livia.
He knew Alessandro’s weakest point.
His daughter.
He arranged the camera angle.
He referred Bianca to litigation counsel before the incident ever happened.
And on the wedding morning, he entered the bridal suite and sent one final message.
Today he either chooses you, or everyone sees what happens when he loses control.
The plan was not about helping Bianca become Alessandro’s wife.
Dominic expected the marriage to collapse.
He wanted Alessandro caught on video physically attacking his bride in front of guests.
The footage could trigger police attention, civil litigation, and pressure inside the legitimate Rizzano companies.
Dominic had been fighting Alessandro for nearly a year over the future of those companies.
Alessandro wanted less family interference, outside compliance, and a cleaner separation between legitimate operations and the older organization surrounding them.
Dominic believed that would destroy the power previous generations had built.
If Alessandro became publicly unstable and legally compromised, Dominic expected the corporate board and senior family figures to pressure him into stepping aside.
Bianca wanted control inside a marriage.
Dominic wanted control after destroying one.
Neither cared that Livia was the lever.
The three earlier clues finally made sense.
The camera had been moved because Dominic needed Alessandro’s reaction visible.
Bianca had litigation counsel because the legal fight was planned before the wedding.
Dominic kept demanding an immediate settlement because discovery was the one thing his plan could not survive.
Alessandro read the final message.
It had been sent seven minutes after he removed Bianca’s ring.
Dominic to Bianca:
Do not apologize. From now on, you are the victim.
Alessandro put the phone transcript down.
His hands were perfectly still.
Claire had seen him furious.
This was different.
“Where is Dominic?”
“At the main office.”
Alessandro stood.
Claire blocked his path.
“No.”
He looked at her.
“You confront him with lawyers present.”
“He used my daughter as bait.”
“I know.”
“He wanted me to react.”
“Yes.”
