The plea hearing for Bianca took place six months after the reception.
There was no dramatic trial.
The video made certain facts difficult to dispute.
Bianca accepted responsibility for assaultive conduct and entered a negotiated resolution that included probation, mandated counseling, restrictions on contact with Emma and Helena, and other court-ordered conditions.
The outcome disappointed members of the Bellandi family who expected something harsher.
Domenico did not confuse punishment with theater.
Bianca lost the marriage.
Lost access to the estate.
Lost the social position she had spent months trying to secure.
More importantly, the legal record described what happened without allowing the family to rewrite it privately.
After court, Bianca passed Domenico in a secured hallway.
The no-contact rules prevented conversation.
She stopped anyway.
Her attorney touched her arm.
Bianca looked at Domenico.
Then at the small folded piece of cardboard he was carrying.
Emma’s repaired family project.
Domenico had brought it because Dr. Whitaker suggested he show Emma afterward that damaged things could be repaired without pretending they had never been damaged.
Bianca looked away first.
That evening Domenico returned home.
Emma ran toward him.
“Done?”
He lifted her.
“Done.”
“Bianca coming?”
“No.”
“Ever?”
Domenico chose his words carefully.
“Not to this house.”
Emma rested her head on his shoulder.
Then she asked:
“Aunt Helena?”
That was harder.
Domenico did not lie.
