Chapter 4 - THE VIDEO VICTORIA DIDN’T EXPECT THEM TO KEEP
Victoria hired a lawyer.
Three days after the party, Raffaele received a letter accusing him of physically attacking her in front of witnesses.
The language was careful.
Victoria claimed she had merely been correcting Noah’s behavior when Raffaele “seized, restrained, and violently propelled” her against a divider.
She demanded that he preserve all security footage.
Raffaele’s attorney almost smiled when she read that part.
“We already did.”
The garden cameras showed the entire sequence.
Victoria removing Noah’s chair.
Victoria grabbing his shoulder.
Victoria forcing the plates into his hands.
Margaret intervening.
Victoria grabbing Noah again.
Raffaele stopping her.
Victoria reaching toward the boy a second time before Raffaele moved her away.
The footage also showed something nobody noticed during the chaos.
Sophie.
When Victoria first took Noah’s chair, Sophie shook her head.
Victoria bent down and said something to her.
There was no useful audio at that distance.
But Sophie immediately sat.
Later, while Noah struggled with the plates, Sophie started to stand.
Victoria pointed at the chair.
Sophie sat again.
She was not being favored freely.
She was obeying.
Raffaele’s attorney advised him not to release the footage publicly.
“No press war.”
“Agreed.”
“No threats.”
“Agreed.”
She looked at him.
“That was easier than expected.”
“My son is involved.”
“That usually makes you less patient.”
“Not anymore.”
Raffaele authorized her to provide the footage only to Victoria’s attorney and any legitimate child-safety professionals involved.
The response from Victoria came that evening.
She claimed the video was “misleading without context.”
Then she demanded that Raffaele stop speaking with Daniel.
That interested him.
She was less concerned about the footage than about the two fathers comparing information.
