Chapter 14 - THE WEDDING DRESS

My wedding gown stayed in its garment bag for almost a year.
I could not look at it.
Then my cousin Bianca asked:
“Do you want to burn it?”
Old Mafia instinct with better fashion.
“No.”
“Sell?”
“Maybe.”
“Keep?”
“No.”
Eventually I donated it to a theater costume program after the damaged hem was repaired.
A bridal gown became fabric again.
No relic.
No bloodstain.
No curse.
Just something expensive I no longer needed.
Then Bianca asked about the vanity where I placed the ring.
The hotel had replaced it during renovation.

Good.
Rooms should not become shrines either.
